Taking care of yourself is so important for your health and well-being but also for everyone around you. When you take care of yourself it allows you to be your best self for you but also everyone around you.
Here are some self care rituals you can do, to live your best life.
Daily rituals
- Light candles
- Candles create a relaxing ambience and they also smell amazing. Treat yourself to some of your favorite scents and burn them daily.
- Play relaxing music
- Play music that is relaxing to you. Soft music like jazz, spa music and classical music are all great options.
- Have morning and nighttime routines
- In the morning, take your time to wash your face and put on lotion. Put on relaxing music while you put on your makeup and do your hair. Slow down and really enjoy this time for yourself.
- At night, take a nice warm shower. Treat yourself with something luxurious like your favorite soap, a nice sugar scrub, or shower steamer. Take your time to apply lotion after in your favorite, relaxing scent. Apply face lotion and really massage it in. Be sure to be delicate around your eyes.
Weekly rituals
- Paint your nails
- Have a nice relaxing footbath
- Apply a homemade hair mask 1-2x/ week
- I make my own hair mask using olive oil with a few drops of rosemary oil. I keep a small separate bottle for this. I apply it all over my hair then tie it up and leave it in for 30-60 minutes then rinse it out in the shower. It feels oily while it’s in but my hair feels super soft after.
- Apply a face mask 1-2x/ week
- You can purchase one from the store or make your own face mask by combining honey, small amount of olive oil, and cinnamon. Mix it together and apply. I leave it on for 20-30 minutes
