Have you ever been into a hotel bathroom that felt like a spa? Wasn’t it so nice and relaxing? What if I told you, you could turn your own bathroom into a spa-like oasis and enjoy the pleasure from it everyday.
- Add plants. Adding plants not only instantly makes your space more relaxing and feeling like a spa, but it could also help with some of the humidity as well. As we know, moisture can tend to add up in bathrooms from using the shower. Plants like pothos, snake plants, peace lilies, English Ivy and spider plants can help absorb some of the moisture in your bathroom.
- Have high quality, plush towels. I love snuggling up in a soft, warm towel after a nice shower. It makes such a difference and adds a touch of luxury to your everyday.
- Have a high-quality soft bathrobe. Having a soft plush robe to relax in after a nice shower is essential to make your bathroom feel like a spa.
- Keep it clean. A clean bathroom makes all the difference when trying to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Be sure to keep your bathroom clean by cleaning the shower, tub, towels, floors, and toilet weekly. Clean the sink and mirrors as often as needed. If you keep it on a schedule it’s much easier to keep it clean on a regular basis.
- Use high quality products in scents you enjoy. I love to make my own sugar scrub with essential oils like lavender, eucalyptus, and peppermint, it makes every shower feel like a getaway to a spa. Using your favorite shampoo, conditioner, bodywash/ soap, and body lotion or body butter after getting out of the shower on a daily basis is always something you can add to your routine that you can look forward to at the beginning or end of your day. I love adding my favorites to clear or amber glass containers- they look way better this way compared to the original containers the products come in.
- Burn a candle or use an essential oil diffuser during showers or baths. It makes it feel so relaxing and adds a touch of luxury in the bathroom when it smells like your favorite scents.
- Play relaxing music. Music like soft instrumental piano, jazz, or spa music are great choices to listen to when taking a relaxing shower or bath.
