The key to happiness is not more, it’s less. Less clutter, less worrying, less thinking. It’s all about making things easier for yourself. Life can be complicated and stressful at times unless you take control. Simplifying your life takes some time to set up, but once you do it, it’s a game changer! You’ll never go back!
- Eliminate clutter– in all spaces of your life. Some of the most important spaces include your home, your workspace, your car, your mind, your relationships, etc. Only keep and hold onto things that you love or that serve you. Let go of things that you never use or that cause clutter.
- Keep your spaces clean. A messy or cluttered space can cause you to feel overwhelmed. Get into a routine of cleaning your spaces regularly. Maybe you just do a little a day, say 30-60 minutes cleaning your home. If you do it consistently, as well as regular decluttering (and watching what you take into your home) you will never have an overwhelming mess again! Just a little time everyday really can makes a difference, even if it doesn’t seem possible at first!
- Avoid worrying, especially about things you can’t control. Worrying won’t change anything and can cause unnecessary stress . The best thing you can do, is to live in every moment. Avoid worrying about the past, or future because at the end of the day this moment you are living in right now is where you are. This moment right now is your life so enjoy it!
- Automate your life as much as possible. Automate the things that you absolutely must do, so you don’t have to think about them. You can add what you need to remember into your planner. I love this planner from Amazon https://amzn.to/42f2P3Z. Be sure to also schedule time to relax, unwind and have fun everyday! Life is meant to be enjoyed! Eliminate anything from your schedule that doesn’t serve your greater self, goals and values. Another thing you can automate is your bills. Schedule automatic payments as much as possible so you don’t have to think about paying your bills.
- Eliminate people that drain you. Cut out people from your life that drain you. You can simply allow them to deselect themselves. Don’t put energy into relationships that aren’t benefiting you in anyway. At the end of the day it’s impossible to make everyone happy. Be with people that add joy and value to your life.
- Plan meals ahead. Set a plan in place where meal time if effortless and easy. I know the last thing I want to do after a long day is to try and think of something to make for dinner.
